Dimefluthrin is a new type of pyrethroid hygienic insecticide that provides strong protective effects against mosquitoes, including those resistant to allethrin and prallethrin. It demonstrates good safety for humans and does not cause environmental pollution when properly applied. The dosage of its formulations can be as low as 0.015%.
At present, the analysis of Dimefluthrin in mosquito coil products commonly adopts the GC-ECD (electron capture detector) method developed by Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. of Japan. However, the pretreatment process of this method is relatively complicated, creating a need to develop a more practical analytical method suitable for actual production applications.
