Product Usage

(1S)-(+)-Camphor-10-sulfonic acid is widely used as a stabilizing agent and an effective chiral resolving agent. Due to its excellent chiral recognition ability, it is commonly applied in the resolution of enantiomers and asymmetric synthesis processes.

It can also be used as a dopant in the template-free potentiostatic electropolymerization of chiral polyaniline (PANI) nanofibers, where (1S)-(+)-camphor-10-sulfonic acid (D-CSA) or (1R)-(-)-camphor-10-sulfonic acid (L-CSA) is introduced to induce chirality. In addition, it serves as an important raw material for the synthesis of quaternary ammonium compounds (QUATs) derived from (1S)-(+)-camphor-10-sulfonic acid.
