Product Application of Isophorone Diisocyanate CAS#4098-71-9
Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) is widely used in the production of high-performance polyurethanes with excellent stability, superior light discoloration resistance, and outstanding chemical resistance. It is commonly applied in paints and varnishes to enhance hardness, flexibility, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and resistance to chalking and weathering.
IPDI is also used in the manufacture of elastomers for casting compounds, mastics, and highly flexible textile coatings, as well as hard industrial coatings. In addition, it is utilized in the production of contact lenses and as a curing agent in various polyurethane systems.
