Products Description of Direct Pigment Yellow 3 CAS#6486-23-3
Direct Pigment Yellow 3 is a bright greenish light yellow powder pigment with excellent color appearance and stability. It can be dissolved in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone under heating conditions. The pigment exhibits a yellow color change when exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, while maintaining stable color performance in concentrated nitric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, and dilute sodium hydroxide solutions. It also offers good resistance to light and heat. Please note that this product is primarily intended for scientific research applications and is not used for diagnosis or medical treatment.
The product has a total solid content of 55% and a pigment solid content of 40%, with a pH value ranging from 6 to 8. It demonstrates excellent fastness properties, including washing fastness with a stain rating of 4–5, fading resistance of 3–4, dry rubbing fastness of 3–4, wet rubbing fastness of 3, alkaline resistance of 4, and acid resistance of 4. The pigment provides good temperature resistance, withstanding up to 180°C at a 6% concentration and 160°C at a 1% concentration. It also features outstanding lightfastness (Grade 7) and weather resistance (Grade 7), ensuring reliable and durable color performance.
